Pattern: Novita (Finnish knitting manazine)
Yarn: Novita Linnea (60% cotton, 40% Linen)
This is a late Christmas present for my cousin Mirja, hope she likes it (I do!). Found the pattern from a knitting magazine and even though it was made from a thick wool yarn, I could vision knitting it from this natural looking, bit rough cotton/linen yarn. So, I calculated the stitches again and begun. I started this between Christmas and New Year and finished it today. Proparbly the fastest I will ever finish a big project like this.
Here's some extra pictures, check out my mad modelling skills (you think the modelling world would need a short girl with a big head but lots of attitude?)

I must say that this was knitted very fast...well done you! And the end result is lovely! Lucky friend, hopefully she will be pleased with it :)
Regarding the fashion industry and short people, don't you also hate it when you try on some trousers and you have to cut off so much and redo the seam?? Let's not go there... ho hum...
Yes! I'd like to meet that standard person who they make trousers for. Every pair of pants that I buy I will take at least 3cm away. Just recently found a good link to shortening jeans (I can't believe that I didn't figure this out myself). http://www.daciaray.com/?p=38
Wow!!! Thanks so much for the link... it's a brilliant idea, and although it won't work for all shapes of legs, still I can use it for my BF's trousers (I must shorten something like 8 pairs of trousers...4 done, 4 more to go!).
If you allow, I shall post the link to my blog, just to spread the word...
Sure, spread the word. Let there be good looking trousers for all short people :)
Very cute!
