That's all for now. Thank you.
About knitting stuff, pet bunnies and veggie food.
Well, despite the lack of winter wonderland-like scenery, I’ve had a nice vacation so far. Yes, I’ve been mostly knitting. On Tuesday I went to visit the Novita factory outlet in Lauttasaari,
Yeah, and I also finished something, a hoodie from Stitch n’ Bitch Handbook. The yarn is Cherry Tree Hill Rainbow Ribbon that I bought from last year’s January sales. I’m really pleased with the result and I’m also happy that I made the smallest size, medium would have been way too big.
So what now? I thought it would be helpful to make a list of all the WIP’s so I can have some order and maybe finish something else soon. So, here goes:
Hexacomb Cardigan
I got my Interweave Knits Spring 2008 issue a couple of days ago and immediately started the Hexacomb Cardigan, which to me is so appealing, something that I could definitely wear at work. The pattern suggests a 100% cotton yarn but I’m attempting to make it from Suss Love that I have in my stash. I have just enough for the medium size.
Boyfriend Socks
One done, one to go. When the body of Hexacomb is finished, I’ll make the other sock, I promise. The boyfriend has asked for them three time now, so FINISH THEM! The yarn (Berroco Comfort Sock) is lovely so there’s no reason not to finish.
Fair
Not going so well. The fair isle pattern is nerve wrecking and I’m thinking that the medium size is too big. I think I’ll have to suck it up and frog the whole thing and start again. Dammit. I’ll make the smallest size and knit the body in round as long as I can.
Foxglove Cardigan
I love the look of this cardigan. I ordered Rowan Calmer from Cucumberpatch and have started the back piece. Nice, easy (and brainless) knitting project with a lot of stockinette stitch. Rowan Calmer is such a nice yarn that the knitting should go well. I can’t crochet in English (sounds funny when I put it like that) so I’ll have to learn that.
Not so into this one but I’m not giving up yet. There’s a gauge problem with this project but I’m hoping that choosing a small size will solve it. Would be so lovely to have a sweater made entirely of soysilk.
